Golowi was an immersive arts event produced with Phoebe Bray for Leifang Collective, our ongoing collaborative practice. The show was the culmination of our residency at Back Lane West project space over August - September 2022, funded by arts organisation CAMP.
We worked across various mediums, from sound and video to sculpture and printed image, to create an installation that engaged with themes of Cornish myth, post-nature, post-humanism, sensory experience, femininity and free party culture.
The work was accompanied by 10-min guest mixes from invited artists and musicians that played out as a continuous sound piece, interacting with the visual environment of the show. Mixes by RHINE and Verte-brae (see poster below) made by Leifang Collective.
We also commissioned dance artist Talia Sealey to respond to one of the audio works, a piece from Charlie Osborne [Char-grilled], with the performance taking place at 8pm on the opening night.
The show was photographed by Joely Mae Greally.
